5 Ways to Use Eloqua's New Free AI Features

Every marketer knows the challenges that come with engaging today's digitally fatigued audiences. Low email open rates, tedious manual content creation, rising unsubscribe rates, poor timing, and limited visibility into account-level behaviors are pain points that teams face daily.

Oracle originally released Advanced Intelligence (AI) features that assist with these common struggles in 2020, offering solutions powered by both generative and classic AI. These AI-driven capabilities were paid-only options, empowering marketers with budget to enhance performance, automate tasks, and significantly improve campaign outcomes without additional investment.

Oracle has since made these powerful AI tools free, putting the power of AI into the hands of Eloqua users around the world. In this blog post, we’ll outline how to leverage them effectively.

1. Subject Line Generator (Generative AI)

What it does: Suggests up to five engaging subject lines based on your prompt, right in the email editor.
Why it’s useful: A/B testing subject lines can be slow and imprecise. This gives marketers fast, high-potential options tailored to tone, keywords, and context.

Captivate your audience from the very first click

Subject lines are the gatekeepers of email success. A lackluster subject line can doom even the most carefully crafted campaigns. Eloqua’s new generative AI tool helps marketers quickly create engaging, optimized subject lines directly within the Email Design Editor. Simply input key details and desired tone, and the AI will generate up to five targeted subject line variations.

Practical Example:

Imagine you're promoting a webinar on digital transformation. You enter brief details into the generator, and it quickly suggests compelling options such as "Unlock Your Digital Potential: Join Our Webinar," improving your open rates without the manual trial and error of traditional A/B testing.

2. Text Rewriting & Content Generation (Generative AI)

What it does: AI-assisted content creation and rewriting for emails, landing pages, SMS, and shared or dynamic content blocks .
Why it’s useful: It empowers marketers struggling with copywriting, automates tone adjustments and localization, and dramatically speeds up content creation.

Rapidly produce high-quality, tailored content

Creating and localizing content at scale can drain resources. Eloqua's content generation AI simplifies this by quickly generating or rewriting email copy, landing pages, SMS, and dynamic content blocks. Marketers struggling with time constraints or those facing writer’s block will find this tool invaluable for maintaining messaging consistency and effectiveness across campaigns.

Practical Example:

When launching a multi-region campaign, your team can rapidly produce tailored content variations. Provide the tool with your core messaging points, and it generates professionally written copy variants suitable for different segments and locales, significantly reducing content production timelines.

3. Fatigue Analysis (Classic AI)

What it does: Tracks email send frequency and engagement to assign fatigue levels (like “Undersaturated” or “Oversaturated”) to contacts .
Why it’s useful: It helps avoid over-communicating, reducing unsubscribe rates and contact fatigue.

Keep engagement high and unsubscribe rates low

Over-communication is a fast path to contact fatigue, harming long-term engagement and subscriber retention. Eloqua's Fatigue Analysis monitors the frequency and interaction patterns of your contacts, categorizing them into fatigue levels. This insight allows your team to proactively manage campaign pacing and protect subscriber relationships.

Practical Example:

Before sending a high-value promotional campaign, quickly identify and remove contacts marked as "Oversaturated," ensuring that your communication is relevant and welcomed rather than overwhelming, thus preserving your audience relationship.

4. Send Time Optimization (Classic AI)

What it does: Determines and schedules individual contacts’ ideal send times based on past behavior .
Why it’s useful: Reaching recipients when they’re most attentive boosts open and click-through rates—especially critical across time zones.

Deliver your messages exactly when they matter most

Timing mismatches can severely reduce campaign effectiveness. Eloqua’s Send Time Optimization uses historical engagement data to predict and schedule the optimal send time for each contact individually. This ensures emails arrive precisely when recipients are most likely to open and engage.

Practical Example:

A global product launch campaign is scheduled. Instead of manual segmentation and timing, Eloqua automatically calculates and schedules the ideal sending time for each recipient across various time zones, significantly boosting your open and click-through rates.

5. Account Intelligence (Classic AI)

What it does: Aggregates behavior across contacts within an account to generate an Account Engagement Score and detect activity trends .
Why it’s useful: Enables effective ABM by alerting you to hot accounts and aligning campaigns to real-time demand signals.

Maximize your ABM efforts with deeper insights

Without account-level visibility, prioritizing and personalizing account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns can feel like guesswork. Eloqua’s Account Intelligence delivers detailed insights into collective account behaviors, surfacing engagement spikes, trends, and activities that help you effectively prioritize and align sales and marketing resources.

Practical Example:

Your team notices a surge in activity from a key strategic account. Using Eloqua’s insights, you can quickly trigger targeted campaigns and equip your sales team with actionable intelligence, converting heightened interest into meaningful conversations and opportunities.

Important Note on Language Limitations

Currently, Eloqua’s generative AI capabilities are optimized exclusively for English. While inputs in other languages might yield usable content, expect a reduction in grammatical accuracy, tone consistency, and fluency. Oracle may extend support to additional languages in future updates, but for optimal results, English content is recommended.
